Reach Out

I confess to another departure from my normal work flow. In a search for some new inspiration, I was reaching out, looking to explore new techniques, but admittedly, there is nothing much new under the sun … well, at least not all that new. I have begun a new abstract work on a large canvas, using a variation of shapes, textures, metallics, and finishes. That has been occupying much of my time. In the course of my search, I was merely experimenting with concepts and ideas, when I unexpectedly found a basis for expressing what I was doing as an art piece. I then temporarily shifted my attention to that piece, as possibly being something different.

The work I am posting here began life as part of my experiment, but now, after adding some silver metallic coverage, as well as some clearly textured strokes, it has indeed become something quite different.
